摘要：The breathing aid includes a pressurised gas source(10), a transmission circuithaving a principal inhalation pipe(14) connected to a mask(19) worn by the patient(20)and a secondary exhalation pipe(28) as well as a flow regulation valve(16) and an
exhalation valve(30). The valve(16) has means(52) for maintaining a residual flow underreduced pressure in the principal inhalation pipe(14) during each exhalation phase. Themask (19) includes at least a communication hole (22) from the interior of the mask toambient air. The value of the residual flow is sensibly equal to the flow loss of the maskthrough the hole.
